Reduce False Alarms

Here are a few steps to minimize potential false alarms for your system:

  • Be sure the entire family is educated on how to operate the system
  • Keep a simple instruction guide handy, i.e. the user's manual
  • Test the system at least once a month
  • Report any changes in your system setup, passwords, phone numbers, emergency contact numbers, telephone providers, or home layout to U.S.A. Fire & Burglar Alarm, LLC
  • Securely close and lock all doors and windows prior to arming your system
  • If your system includes a back-up battery, check to make sure that it is fully charged. Low battery voltage is the second most common cause of accidental alarms. Most systems visually indicate battery problems.
  • Regularly check alarm contact switches and magnets on doors and windows for damage or looseness. Call U.S.A. Fire & Burglar Alarm, LLC if you need service.

By taking the appropriate steps to help prevent false alarms, you will save time, money, community resources, and enhance the level of your home security.
