Service System Test
To help prevent false alarms, every system should be periodically tested. Listed below is the alarm testing procedure.

  • Call the monitoring station, The Security Center, at 504-522-1254
  • Identify yourself as a U.S.A. Fire & Burglar Alarm, LLC customer and provide the operator with your home address and/or account number (on your billing invoice)
  • Inform the operator that you wish to test your system
  • The operator will ask for your password and how long you would like to place the system on test. (A system can be placed on test no longer than 24 hours)
  • Hang up with the operator, and arm your system.
  • Allow your system to sound its sirens before disarming.
  • Because your system is in test mode, the monitoring station will not call you.
  • Call the monitoring station and identify yourself as you did when you put the system on test
  • Ask the operator if they received the test signal. If the test signal went through, the alarm is operating properly. If the test signal did not go through, call U.S.A. Fire & Burglar Alarm, LLC at (504) 733-8040 during normal business hours, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, to schedule a service call.
  • Upon successful completion of the test, the monitoring station will put the system back "on line".
